Marie-Thérèse, the child of a French Father and a French-American Mother, has spent most of her life in the United States. She learned a great deal about style from her Mother, a former model and opera singer.
"As a child, I loved nothing better than getting into my Mother's boxes and boxes of discarded make-up and evening gowns to play dress up. I still get a frisson of pleasure at the sight of a new make-up collection. I consider make-up to be finger paints for big girls - something to have fun with and experiment with."
After ballet and classical voice training, and receiving her degree in French Literature, Marie-Thérèse spent many years teaching French to adults and offering cross-cultural training for executives through several national and international language institutes.
"Friends had been asking for my advice on clothes, make-up and healthy eating for as long as I can remember. Then, one day, I ran in to one of my students while grocery shopping. 'Oh, my God,' she said, 'you even look put together at
the supermarket. It must be genetic.' I assured her that anyone could do it, if they knew how. And so, from a workshop entitled "Finding Your Inner Parisienne", French Touch Image Consulting was born and the rest, as they say, is history."
Marie-Thérèse lives in the historic town of Haddonfield, New Jersey, with her husband of over 30 years and their four rescued cats.
When not giving workshops and working with clients, she donates her time as a member of Philadelphia Anchorwoman, Pat Ciarrocchi's, "Passion for Fashion" Committee, which organizes fashion shows and fundraisers for charitable groups in the Philadelphia area.
In her spare time, when not in the kitchen making her signature Potage Charlemagne, she can be found sitting in the Grand Tier of the Metropolitan Opera in New York or sipping tea at Angélina's on the Rue de Rivoli keeping up to date on what the well-dressed Parisienne is wearing on the boulevards of Paris.
